Step 4 - Connect the Linksys wireless camera to the computer via ethernet cable

BEFORE YOU PLUG THE POWER PLUG IN, connect the Linksys WVC54G Wireless G internet camera to the computer via the ethernet cable supplied. (NB If you plug the power lead in first the set up will not work)

Step 5 - Connect the power supply to the Linksys wireless camera

Connect the power supply to the Linksys wireless camera AFTER you have connected the camera to the computer via the ethernet lead. Make sure the front of the camera displays 192.168.1.115 Fixed. If not press the reset button with a safety pin for a few seconds. First the power light will flash, continue to press reset button until the power light on the camera goes out – then release. (NB When the power light comes back on the camera should have been reset to the default IP address is 192.168.1.115).

Step 6 - Log into the Linksys wireless camera

Once you have followed Steps 1 to 5, you can type in the default IP address of the camera (192.168.1.115) into the address bar of your browser. You should see the Linksys camera set up page as shown below. Type in the default user ID of 'admin' and the default password 'admin'. Click on the Setup tab to change the basic settings ofthe Linksys wireless camera.
